In response to rising criticism and allegations of technical malfunctions during the 2025 UTME, JAMB has initiated a thorough system audit. The exam body has brought in independent IT professionals, assessment specialists, and vice chancellors to evaluate its infrastructure.
The move follows complaints from several states and a large-scale student backlash after a disappointing result trend, where only 400,000 out of 1.9 million candidates scored above 200.
Education reformer Alex Onyia reported that over 8,000 students have submitted evidence of exam issues and are demanding JAMB release detailed mark sheets for verification. JAMB said it would rectify any proven issues.
